There’s no escaping it: Christmas is coming and it’s time to start thinking about making the most of the season’s festivities with a great office party or memorable get-together with friends.

If you’re looking for a central Leeds venue, Kino has launched a special Christmas menu for groups of 16 or more to ensure everyone gets into the festive spirit. Head Chef Josh Whitehead and his team have taken the festive classics and reworked them with their trademark Yorkshire flair.

Right from the outset, Kino’s take on Xmas fare will tempt you with a variety of seasonal flavours. Take the starters: winter game terrine, smoked salmon mousse and caramelised cauliflower velouté.

Pride of place in the mains goes to the restaurant’s speciality – pastry and pies – with fillings including corn fed chicken, smoked bacon and apricot, and wild venison. Anyone who prefers to give meat a miss can enjoy a pithivier which makes the most of the season’s produce with caramelised onion, winter truffle & ratte potato. Forget Christmas Pudding! Sweet treats include Christmas tree crème caramel, a traditional mince pie with Armagnac butter and poached quince & hazelnut tart. Prices start at £35 per person for two courses and £40 per person for three.

A flexible venue for Christmas parties of all sizes, you can keep it private by hiring the downstairs snug as a private space – or there’s the upstairs restaurant for larger numbers. The Kino team will work with whoever’s organising the event to make sure the occasion is exactly how you want it, with entertainment and extras as required.

For an insight behind the scenes, why not book a Chef’s Table experience for your team or to enjoy with your mates? Designed for between 6 and 12 people, this is an opportunity to meet Head Chef Josh Whitehead and learn all about what makes him tick. After a free drink on arrival, the group will the treated to a six-course tasting menu, created especially for the occasion, for £85 per person. An accompanying curated wine flight is also available for a further £20 per person.

Cocktails more your thing? Kino also offers laughter-fuelled Cocktail Masterclasses, where our resident mixologist shares all the tips and tales of the trade. For just £30 per person, groups get shown how to shake, stir and pour as they make three classic cocktails which everyone can then sample – after sharing their skills on social media, of course.
